Will's FUNDraiser Day

Join us in contributing to Will's 2024 Sage Bird Scholarship FUNd! Every year, our staff get the chance to apply for a FUNd that supports their passions and goals in their personal lives, and this day invites you to connect with staff on this personal level and even donate to their FUNd yourself if you feel led!

Will is using his fund toward a trip to Boone, NC to work on setting research for a book he is writing! He is hoping to immerse himself in the sights, smells, and tastes of the town to more vividly capture its aura and translate it into words. His dream ever since he was a little kid was to become a writer, and he has plans to apply to a Masters of Fine Arts programs in Creative Writing sometime in the next few years to further that pursuit.

Come by Sage Bird Sunday, February 18, 5pm-8pm to celebrate Will & help him dream up this character-building experience. Bring cash tips to add your own contribution to her FUNd, too.

From Will: Sage Bird is the home away from home you've always wanted. Nowhere else quite embodies the spirit of the "Friendly City" as well as Sage Bird does. We don't just have customers, we have community--and from that community springs so much joy and solidarity. A good writer is nothing without the people who fill their world with ideas and encouragement. For the past eight months, the Sage Bird community have been those people and I am beyond grateful for the inspiration, joy, and light Sage Bird has given me.
