Jen's FUNdraiser Day

Come visit Jen on Sunday March 19, 11am-3pm in the taproom as we continue celebrating our staff & their passions through the Sage Bird Scholarship FUNd!

Learn from Jen about how she is using her FUNd to say “yes” to more travel opportunities, especially out of the country.   Jen has immediate plans to travel to Italy to celebrate the love of two dear friends and get a taste of that “When in Rome” life. Traveling out of the country will also be a way for Jen to challenge herself and step out of her comfort zone. Plus, any time she travels any distance from home, she finds herself loving and appreciating Harrisonburg even more than she did before.

Jen has been an integral part of the Sage Bird team since officially joining us in May of 2021! Her joyful spirit and easy-going attitude spreads throughout the taproom to make Sage Bird a more positive place to be.

We started this staff scholarship FUNd to help our staff invest in themselves, in something they want to know more about, something they’ve always wanted to do, or something that will improve their lives. We are so excited to give Jen this scholarship to experience more of the world.

From Jen: Sage Bird is my family. The taproom bar is sometimes more home than my living room couch. Thank you for being the most intentional, considerate, and supportive employers I could possibly dream of working for and for assembling such a kick-ass, loving group of employees. Thank you for taking a chance on me as a bartender with no prior experience and only a questionable ability to be on time for things as part of my resume.

Thank you guys for always making me better. I’m the best version I’ve been of myself in my entire life and it’s because of the love and encouragement you guys give me and the community of excellence you have created! Sage Bird has changed us all for the better, and I can’t appreciate it enough!
